ORCHESTRA SINFONICA "G. VERDI" DI PARMA
Founded in 2007, the Symphony Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi di Parma, is the culmination of more than ten years of productive work by CEFAC in the field of music.
The Orchestra encompasses some of the most renowned professors from the leading lyrical-symphonic institutions in Italy: Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini and Orchestra of the Teatro Regio di Parma, Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Mantua Chamber Orchestra, Solisti Veneti Orchestra, I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, among others.
In recent years the group has additionally carried out some of the most important musical productions in the main theaters of Emilia Romagna (Theater Magnani Fidenza, Theater Verdi in Busseto, Theater Pavarotti in Modena, Theater Bonci in Cesena, Theater Comunale in Carpi, among others), gradually consolidating a repertoire including the main opera titles of XIX and XX century (La Traviata, Rigoletto, Aida, Il Trovatore, The Lombards on the First Crusade, The Barber of Seville, Carmen, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Turandot, Madama Butterfly, Suor Angelica, Gianni Schicchi, The Marriage of Figaro).
A particular reference deserves the Orchestra's collaboration in the context of some productions for the staging of: Nights at Arena of Ligabue accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Marco Sabiu, Verona Arena; Antonello Venditti in concert accompanied by Marco Sabiu Orchestra, Verona Arena; Murder in the Cathedral - tragedy for music by Ildebrando Pizzetti, inspired by the drama of the same name for the theater of Thomas Stearns Eliot – directed for the occasion by Maestro Claudio Scimone, Milan Cathedral; Beethoven's Ninth Symphony directed by Piergiorgio Morandi (Concert for Europe), Milan Cathedral; world premiere of Everyman, sacred work (morality play) consists of Maurizio Fabrizio, with Angelo Branduardi, Pino Mango, Laura Valente Homer Antonutti, rooftop terraces of Milan Cathedral.
